The future 2026 is sweeping a lot of innovations and creativity in the home interiors, particularly in terms of dining room remodeling ideas. You are attracted to the appearance of a Farmhouse dinner room, the peaceful quality of Wabi sabi, or the magnificence of a Victorian house, and in any case, this guide can show you the most inspiring ways to make your dining area a masterpiece. What do contemporary families consider in terms of functionality and beauty? What is the transformation of a kitchen and dining room into a welcoming, unifying space of entertaining, relaxing, and living? And now, what is the next trend of thoughts that influence the homes throughout the U.S.?
Scandinavian Serenity With Soft Neutrals and Natural Wood
Scandinavian serenity is characterized by clean lines and soft lighting, and neutral palette, which permeate the modern home and living rooms in 2026. I consider this method handy to any person intending to open up his small kitchen or adopt dining in an open concept kitchen dining living space. The simplicity of the textures and use of natural light coupled with the balanced use of materials creates an illusion of additional space even though the space remains warm.

Pale oak flooring, linen curtains and whitewashed walls are my suggestions when it comes to such interiors to make them bright. The table will be made of natural wood, which is usually smooth ash or birch; the round table is very desirable as it brings people closer during meals. Furnish it with woven seats and light pendant lamps. Such details produce a peaceful, everlasting mood.

Personally, homeowners enjoy the fact that this design creates serenity and functionality. Scandinavian restaurant rooms facilitate emotional wellness through lessening visual clutter. Even the tiny house can be made to appear open and elegant with such a layout as in the case of the IKEA 2026 line, Nordic Comfort.
To enhance the space in a way that does not disturb the calmness, I would include a wall art that is textured or in ceramic to give the impression that it is inhabited by people.
Modern Farmhouse Charm With White Oak and Black Accents
The trend is the mixture of rustic coziness with smooth lines, the development of Farmhouse style in the modern houses. I enjoy the contrast and combination of white oak and black hardware that made the appearance elegant. The concept suits best in a kitchen and dining arrangement or a Victorian house that requires a modern brush.

I tend to choose reclaimed oak in the table, matte black pension lights, and plain slipcovered chairs. The otherwise angular modernity is counterbalanced with exposed beams, shiplap walls and soft linen upholstry. This environment is family oriented as it has a round table that is ideal to serve everyday meals or entertain both the husbands and friends.

Layering textures, in other words, combining wood, metal, and textile, to have that Farmhouse soul is recommended by design professionals such as Joanna Gaines. I concur: the beauty is in flaws and coziness.
To develop this design, one may introduce greeneries or an old rug beneath the table to add a three dimensionality and depth to this design.
Vintage Chic With Muted Pastels and Aged Brass Details
In 2026, vintage interiors have returned with sophistication and moderation. I love the way the light pastel shades and deteriorated brass shades could give a life to a dining-room without stifling the senses. It is ideal in a house where the kitchen and the dining are combined in a single spacious room.

I normally combine a light rose round table, mint or powder-blue velvet chairs, antique brass sconces and crystal chandelier. The trick is that when you are longing about something, you can be practical as well, such as using durable fabrics and no-stain finishes in the real world.

Based on the Architectural Digest trend forecast 2026, the trend in the Vintage décor should be based on curation. Personally, I just love using heirloom sideboards or framed art on the flea market; these pieces do narrate tales that cannot be told by new artworks.
I would include some flowered china of old or brass candelabra to complete this scene and hold the thoughts together.
Coastal Calm With Soft Blues and Woven Textures
To those homeowners who long to have a relaxing vacation, the coastal design is refreshing and relaxing. I consider that soft blues, beige sand, and rattan accents are the elements that produce natural calm, especially when it is put together with open concept kitchen dining living arrangements.

I prefer driftwood-like tables and rattan chairs with linen slipcovers in such places. The maritime rod lights or a painted over ceiling finish the marine appearance. This table is usually circular and invites the dialogue and movement between the kitchen and the living room areas.

My tip: follow the example of resorts by the sea. Designers such as Nate Berkus suggest the use of natural light that has been diffused and hard fabrics to replicate the softness of the ocean winds. These aspects immediately lighten and open up the house in my projects.
In order to work on the design, consider adding woven baskets or seagrass carpets as a way to give the design a taste of the sea.
Bold Spanish Style With Terracotta Walls and Arched Doorways
Spanish style interiors have a charm due to their coziness and grandeur. I enjoy the fact that terracotta walls, carved wood doors, and mosaic tiles provide a Mediterranean touch. This is very effective in a formal dining room or in a Victorian house refurbishment that seeks to be very bold.

I suggest a big wooden table with wrought-iron chairs and ceramic vases and lanterns hanging around it. This palette is supplemented by terracotta floors or tiled borders. It can be connected to the kitchen and the patio and with that it makes every day dining an occasion.

According to design professionals such as Kelly Wearstler, the style can be characterized by a lot of emotional variety, as the grounding energy of earthly tones. As an individual, I believe that Spanish style restaurant chairs welcome interpersonal interaction and narration.
In order to finish the design, it is possible to include olive trees in terracotta pots or bright ceramic plates on the walls.
Industrial Elegance With Exposed Brick and Iron Lighting
The industrial interiors have become more sophisticated and habitable in 2026. I like the combination of bare brick, concrete floors and black iron lighting combined with comfortable seats and wooden warm colors. This balance is what makes the contemporary industrial chic.

I tend to furnish such places with long rectangular tables, chandeliers with Edison-bulbs, and leather-upholstered chairs. The artwork or metal shelves with glass inserts can be presented on the walls to ensure that the atmosphere is open and involving. The most important thing is to mix the materials: wood provides comfort, whereas iron and brick provide the strength.

In my personal experience, customers like the way in which industrial elegance can be utilized in small kitchen extensions or in open concept kitchen dining living floorplans. The textures provide the visual depth without confusion.
To make this ambiance more upscale, I would incorporate a bit of greenery or some light curtains in order to contrast the raw materials.
Mid-Century Modern Dining With Walnut Tones and Clean Lines
There is hardly a style that is as gracefully aging as Mid century design. I like its geometrical simplicity and its warm walnut color scheme that is highly sophisticated. In the case of dining room renovation ideas 2026, this appearance still prevails with the modern houses that aim at the classical look.

I am more inclined towards tapered leg furniture, smooth credenzas, and statement pendant lighting. The table is oval or round and combined with the minimalist leather or cloth furniture. The walls are painted in neutral colors, which enables the wood colors to shine.

In line with the recent observation made by Elle Decor, Mid century dining rooms are comfortable in terms of craftsmanship. I think one application particularly suitable to the Victorian house renovations is this: blending on the one hand, history and on the other hand, the common sense of the present.
I would add strong pieces of art to this room or an old-fashioned rug as a reference to the sixties to remind the composition.
Japandi Balance With Earthy Hues and Minimalist Decor
The Japanese simplicity combined with Scandinavian functionality has become the dominant style in the ideas of the redesigns of the dining room 2026, which has been called the Japandi style. The combination of minimalist calmness and coziness always amazes me with such an approach. It best fits an open concept kitchen dining living configuration to form a continuous transition between the kitchen and dining area. The calming nature of Japandi interior is characterized by natural light, light texts, and natural colors.

Practically, I want to have a light wood table, ceramic dinnerware that is made by hand and linen cushions on the seats. The color scheme is based on the use of dull brown, taupe and grey. The ideals of wabi sabi encourage one to embrace any imperfection in the plastering of the walls or the grain of furniture. By simplicity, I mean no nothingness, but harmony.

At work, I have observed that Japandi rooms make one mindful. The creators of the new design, such as Marie Kondo and Norm Architects, focus on the intentional design of every object, each element should have its purpose and be beautiful at the same time. I usually tell it to the clients who do not desire austerity and wish to be quiet.
To further enhance this part, I would have greenery or a shoji screen that would subtly define the dining space without ruining the openness of this section.
Contemporary Glamour With Glass Tables and Gold Finishes
The luxury in 2026 has assumed a smooth twist- modern glamour is now inclined towards simplicity accompanied by statement accents. I adore the fact that glass tables and gold finishes make a formal dining place to look high without being overbearing. To the people renovating a Victorian house, it offers instant light and beauty and forms the transition between the past and the present.

I usually choose a large table, rectangular shape or round that has a glass top and the rest of the chairs are covered with upholstered velvet in dark jewel colors. The space is made up of gold pendant light, mirrored walls and sculptural centerpieces. The impact is refined yet friendly, which would work well in an upscale living room or kitchen and dining table during an entertaining event or family.

In my work, metallic touches such as gold or brass are a value addition and give the impression of celebration. According to House Beautiful magazine, a slight gloss will always be eternal as long you combine it with nontroversive textures, which has been my rule when establishing a balance between glamour and comfort.
When making this design process a little smoother, I would include dimmable lights and soft carpets to balance out the reflective surfaces and keep the house inviting.
Formal Dining Sophistication With Deep Navy and Velvet Chairs
Formal dining rooms are also making a statement in dining room renovation ideas 2026, and will appeal to people who appreciate tradition. Dark blue and green colors, luxurious velvet furniture, and fancy lights rekindle the majesty that was available in the old Victorian houses. I consider this design to be perfect when dealing with bigger houses or the restoration of the Victorian houses that are meant to recapture the elegance with a contemporary touch.

Some of the ideas in my designs include navy walls, a polished wood table, and gold-accented chandeliers. The tactile richness is provided by velvet chairs, and the room is anchored with patterned rugs. The composition is finished with art pieces in complementary colors, cream or brass. The atmosphere is personal and film-like- a place where one can take their time and have a chat.

Emotional grounding and sophistication are ensured through the use of saturated colors such as navy to create an expertly advised feeling with the help of interior designer Corey Damen Jenkins. Personally, I have witnessed customers who were reintroduced to the idea of hosting when in such considerate, luxurious design.
In order to enhance this appearance, I would incorporate layered curtains and the slightest details in wall moulding in order to enhance verisimilitude without losing the harmony.
Open Concept Dining With Seamless Kitchen Transitions
The development of open concept kitchen dining living areas is one of the most revolutionary concepts in the concept of renovation of the dining rooms in 2026. I am a firm believer in such a strategy as it increases the relationships between cooking, eating, and relaxing. This arrangement is characteristic of modern domestics in terms of functionality and encouragement of closeness.

My most common design would include a circular table or a rectangular table that would be situated next to a kitchen and an island. It is aimed at visual continuity, finishes, coordinated lighting, and easy transition of the floors. Slick storage units and statement pendant lights combine to create the appearance and make the area less cluttered.

In my case, this format helps to accommodate the modern life. Better Homes and Gardens support this idea, arguing that open layout facilitates family contact and makes the highest use of natural light. I have observed that numerous homeowners have been adopting this notion in order to create bigger spaces out of small space.
To create boundaries though not as restricting the openness and flow is setting a low divider or breakfast counter that I would recommend.
Wabi Sabi Warmth With Stone Walls and Handmade Ceramics
Wabi sabi is still present in the design philosophy throughout the world in 2026. This aesthetic style, inspired by Japan, glorifies imperfection, artisanship, and rough beauty; a perfect antithesis to too polished interiors. I consider it especially strong when it comes to dining room renovation ideas 2026, because it gives it authenticity and touch.

In designing such rooms, I make use of raw stone walls, reclaimed wood tables and made ceramic dishes. The color scheme is also still natural – crude grays, beige, and olive colors prevail. The seating is low, the table cloths are made of soft linen and the light fixtures are made of clay to create its inviting atmosphere that represents nature in its imperfection.

I have always liked the use of the Wabi sabi areas in dining spaces to bring an emotional warmth. According to the experts of Elle Decor, materials with a touch-like experience and natural shapes promote mindfulness and connection – something that we seek in modern life that is fast-paced. This aesthetical base and care touches me personally.
I would further develop the idea by including natural materials such as hemp curtains or textured wall art that would add to the homemade impression.
Eclectic Dining Mix With Patterned Wallpapers and Bold Art
The eclectic dining trend in 2026 is a dream come true to the creative homeowners. I like the combination of vintage, modern, and Farmhouse in a single dynamic space. This style glorifies the individual and there is still considered cohesion- ideal in expressive living room-kitchen and dining plans.

My favorite is beginning with a patterned wall or wall paper with botanical or geometrical pattern and then complimenting it with a statement table and misfitting chairs. Old-fashioned chandeliers, modern art, and accessories in the spirit of fun make the design unpredictable but consistent. The blend of times and textures makes the room an edited narrative.

Publications such as Domino on design reiterate that the eclectic design should be successful- one bold element in view. I do the same with my customers, and make sure every art item brings harmony, but not chaos.
Had I been polishing this concept, I would have incorporated cohesive color accent using textiles or tableware to bring the visual story together.
Minimalist White Space With Statement Lighting
Minimalism in 2026 has branched out of austerity- it is one of clarity and considered warmth. I like minimalist dining rooms since they allow tranquility and concentration, which is good when there is a small kitchen and living room arrangement. The clean palette also boosts the architectural elements and flow of light.

In my practice, I have been employing white or cream walls, a plain wooden table and sculptural statement lighting as the center of the room. Ceramic vases or glass decorations are a few well-selected accessories that add but do not overwhelm. The round table is particularly effective in ensuring the softness of the clean geometry.

Minimalist designer John Pawson makes us remember that restraint is not emptiness but accuracy. I also subscribe to this view, where I strive to ensure that every detail is meaningful and useful. The outcome is serene but aesthetically powerful- a feature of contemporary life.
To add to this part, I would recommend the warm colored wood flooring or a rug with soft texture to break up the plainness.
Bohemian Layers With Rattan, Plants, and Earth Tones
One of my best ideas of a relaxed yet elegant kitchen and living room involvement is a Bohemian dining room. A 2026 trend describes the Modern interpretation of the boho appearance as one dominated by such natural materials as rattan, jute, and clay. It is always with textures first, woven chairs, linen curtains, reclaimed-wood table tops that I start with to create a natural and cozy atmosphere that immediately feels comfortable.

In the case of a furniture, I use a circular table with rattan-backed chairs and a large woven pendant. The plants and textures stand out because of a neutral wall color. An open kitchen and shelfing system with old vintage pottery is also added, providing the space that blends a Farmhouse aesthetic with bohemian freedom.

The ideal Bohemian restaurants in my experience are designed, not stuffy. According to designer Justina Blakeney, Boho is personal. I will advise having at least one I bold plant corner – it makes the room lively at once.
I would also include some handmade ceramics or Wabi Sabi style flaws, a slightly tilted wall vase or a coarse clay bowl, to contrast the modern finishing with the artistic genuineness.
Art Deco Luxury With Geometric Patterns and Marble Surfaces
Art Deco revival in the ideas of a renovation of the dining room in 2026 is the glory of bold geometry, luxurious finishes and a perception of eternal glamour. I would make marble-topped tables, brass wall sconces and velvet seating to add the elegant touch of this style in any formal dining room.

Here, every piece of furniture counts. The dining table would be a rectangular table with a brass base and around it would be curved velvet chairs in emerald or navy. The wall is also something that is usually featured: either in dark lacquer paneling or decorative wallpaper which echoes the Vintage appeal of the 1930s, albeit in a Modern manner.

In a similar design that I created on a Victorian house in Chicago, I employed the use of indirect lighting by using LEDs which lit geometric moldings. The outcome was dramatic and welcoming. According to the AD magazine, there should be a balance between the Art Deco opulence and the neutral accessories to be used on a daily basis.
To take it several notches further, I would introduce the sculptural round table centerpiece, which is a metallic art object or a vase of glass, that reflects light and helps to create the elegant tone.
French Country Dining With Creams, Linens, and Soft Blue Accents
French Country interiors have been listed as one of the most popular dining room renovation ideas 2026. It is centered around harmony- soft Vintage colors, cream linens and distressing wood. I believe it fits well in a small extension of a kitchen or an open concept kitchen dining living area, since it creates romance and tranquility to the normal meals.

I would use a Farmhouse-style table with carved legs and upholstered chairs that are of linen and blue-gray color. Plaster texture or slight paneling is common in the wall. The chandelier made of wrought iron seems to complete the look, between rustic and the sophistication of Paris.

As an interior consultant, I have observed that this combination of comfort and style is appreciated by the American homeowners. According to Architectural Digest, soft neutrals in the dining area add the emotional touch to the house. I couldn’t agree more.
I could also have a Victorian inspired mirror or an old clock to enhance the historical allusion without making the Modern finishes heavy.
Victorian Elegance With Dark Wood and Ornate Chandeliers
To people who love opulence the approach to renovation ideas of the dining room 2026 redesigns the beauty of the old world using the medium of modern detailing. I would prefer deep mahogany walls, velvet curtains, and huge chandeliers that would spell out the air of an old Victorian home.

Furniture is important: the look is characterized by a long table with carved legs, heavy formal chairs, and a china cabinet with glass doors. I prefer to place patterned rugs and oil paintings to add cultural touch to the adjacent space of the living room.

I think that this style can be described as story telling with the help of furniture. I used Victorian lighting when I was doing a Craftsman remodel, to make a contrast in the wood tones-to produce elegance without being too heavy.
To balance that, I would also incorporate lighter Modern wall arts or a minimal glass decorations to ensure that the place does not look dated but retains its royal origins.
Rustic Mountain Style With Heavy Beams and Warm Lighting
Rustic Mountain trend would be appropriate when the owner wants his or her ideas of the dining room renovation in the year 2026 to be comfortable and bold at the same time. I usually be inspired by ski lodges and Farmhouse retreats. The most outstanding feature here is the use of natural timber beam, stone wall and the surrounding light which emits warmth around the table.

I choose used oak furniture, leather or wool furniture and a big round table to evolve the space. It has a soft carpet to provide texture. The dimmable bulb beneath the metal light fixtures gives a sense of intimacy with masculine Craftsman-style.

I have found out that a lot of homeowners love this durability and comfort mix. Houzz 2025 prediction shows that the trend is on the rustic interior with a modern touch, as it creates an authenticity in a technologically-oriented world.
I would improve this room by creating art of Three Birds or mountain landscapes- natural symbolism to replace the raw materials.
Urban Loft Dining With Concrete Floors and Leather Chairs
This open concept kitchen dining living arrangement is in the radiant modern and industrial shine. I tend to deal with bare brick walls, concrete floors, and steel lighting to make the dining room have an urban attitude. This plan is suitable in apartments and adaptive reuse areas.

The combination of leather chairs and a glass top, sleek round table and a sculptural pendant light makes it look sophisticated. The living room and kitchen are in harmony with each other with open shelves and monochrome art pieces.

I think in my projects this style attracts younger owners of homes, that is, husbands who admire low-maintenance and stylish designs. In the design section of the New York Times, it was pointed out that minimalism with texture is becoming the city ideal.
I would also introduce some greenery or Wabi Sabi handmade pottery to the industrialized space and introduce organic relaxation into the Modern feel.
Coastal Mediterranean With Whitewashed Walls and Blue Ceramics
I love the idea of having a bright and serene dining room renovation 2026 under the Spanish style and a Mediterranean theme. The atmosphere is characterized by the use of whitewashed walls, blue ceramics and soft sunlight. I envisage this appearance in a seaside house, yet it also suits urban houses with plenty lighting.

It has furnishings such as a round table made of bleached oak, cane or wicker chairs and flooring made of terracotta. I usually include blue vases, tiled backsplashes, or hand-painted pottery to make the setting bright but at the same time based on simplicity of the Farmhouse.

On the personal level, I believe that the philosophy of Wabi Sabi is in perfect harmony with coastal designs- it loves nature and flaws. I have noticed designers such as Nate Berkus incorporate this combination to create modern spaces that look like a lived-in space.
I would improve this part by proposing rattan pendant lamps or linen wall tapestry to create the atmosphere of lounge evenings in the coastal area.
Monochrome Drama With Black-and-White Contrast and Texture
The monochrome pattern is one of the most refined ideas of dining room renovation 2026 due to its simplicity and daring nature. I am fond of a black-and-white palette that helps to develop the atmosphere of being Modern and at the same time timeless. This style is great in a small kitchen or an open concept kitchen dining living area where contrast is used to provide visual structure and character. The trick is in overlaying the textures smooth marble, matte surfaces, high-gloss surfaces in order not to make the space too cold and minimal.

Usually, I sit around a round table that is finished with black matte and white cushioned chairs with chrome legs. The wall can be either a huge black and white art or slightly 3D geometric panels to add depth. I usually use glass or polished stone flooring to reflect light and to create the effect that the place is large. The same can be applied to adjacent living area and the kitchen, connecting them in a more relaxed way.

In my view, black and white interiors reflect simplicity and intent. Black and white is not a fashion, as designer Kelly Wearstler herself has said, it is a language of design. I concur with this whole heartedly, particularly where this contrast is moderated by natural light or by organic substances like a linen curtain or a marble centerpiece.
I would supplement this idea with a light touch of accents such as a gray carpet or a Wabi Sabi ceramic bowl on the table that would be an imperfection, designed by hand and contrasting well with the sharpness of the room.
Desert Modern With Clay Tones and Minimalist Furniture
The Desert Modern is redefining the ideas of dining room renovation of 2026 through harmonizing the ideas of Modern minimalism and the warmth of earthen materials. I consider this appearance extremely relaxing- it reminds me of enormous desert mindsets, warm sunshine, and natural tranquility. The palette is dominated by the clay, sand and terracotta tones with smooth lines and minimalist furniture. This aesthetic is exactly the one that is in line with the Wabi Sabi ideology that glorifies natural imperfections and harmony.

The furniture I utilize in the design of such a room is a slender wooden round table, simple linen-covered chairs and possibly a clay pendant lamp. The wall is usually a soothing beige or dusty terracotta that gives one a sense of comfort and security. Light wood open shelving unites the dining and kitchen space without any problems. The eye is not cluttered with excessive work and minimalized artwork or a single sculptural vase only helps to keep the attention dedicated to the form and texture instead of the excess.

Being an Arizonan resident over a few years, I have found out that this palette is exceptionally effective in natural sunlight. Elle Decor states that desert color scheme of warm neutrals and ochres is a trend that is liked worldwide due to its flexibility. I could not say otherwise it is modern and at the same time it is based.
I would also include the use of woven curtains or raw linen drapes to add some texture and authenticity as well as to make sure that there is a sophisticated and organic feel.
Botanical-Inspired Dining With Green Accents and Natural Light
The botanical-themed theme is another ideology of dining room renovation that flourishes among my favorite dining room renovation ideas 2026. It is all about taking nature inside a house but keeping the Modern sense of order and stability. I like to focus on natural lighting, plants, and breathable material that works perfectly with a house that combines the kitchen and living room into a unified whole. The outcome is refreshing, vivacious, and absolutely welcoming.

I tend to use a neutral background, which is white or beige, and, as such, add different colors of green with the help of furniture and other objects. The room is anchored by a round table, either oak or walnut and chairs that are upholstered in subdued green. The corners are liven up by plants (ferns, pothos or small fig trees) and the theme of the organic elements is supported by the rattan pendant lamps.

Personally, I have realised that individuals could be relaxing instantly when in botanical areas. Recently, House Beautiful magazine said, Biophilic design: good health and dining with all the senses. I have used this philosophy in a few houses, and it always makes the diner a pleasant experience.
Soft sheer curtains or vertical gardens close to a window would also be added by me as the way of maximizing the integration between the interior and the exterior, thus, increasing the flow of natural energy in the area of the living room.
Classic Craftsman Style With Built-In Woodwork and Mission Furniture
The Craftsman style is worth mentioning when speaking about the future-proof renovation ideas of a dining room in 2026 because it is handcrafted and bears practical beauty and elegance. I am so impressed with its sincerity in materials they are made of natural wood, built-in cabinets and its plan that is not about decoration but about craftsmanship. The design is outstanding when it comes to traditional versus modern comforts in a Victorian or farmhouse environment.

I usually have solid oak or walnut tables, wooden high-backed chairs and inbuilt buffets with glass doors. Wainscoting or wood paneling may be added to the walls, which would give it a feeling of depth and warmth. The aesthetic integrity is ensured with stained glass light fixtures, patterned rugs, and handcrafted pottery. Adjoining the kitchen is the dining area and they are normally the same in terms of wood.

The Craftsman approach has been attractive to me in my design practice among the homeowners who want to be authentic. Better Homes and Gardens refer to the style as the antidote to spendable design with a focus on durability and quality. I fully concur–any work of such a room ought to be narrative.
I would incorporate some sort of small Vintage painting or homemade textiles to add a little bit of gentleness that would not break the structure balance of the Craftsman design.
Romantic Vintage Setting With Rose Tones and Candlelight Glow
Romantic Vintage concept is still among the most universal ideas of dining room remodeling 2026 of individuals, who value the charm and coziness. This design is close, nostalgic and just right in terms of Victorian elegance and Modern comfort. I adore the color rose, candles, and smooth materials that make me feel as though I am in a dream and can use it in both a regular dinner and a cocktail party.

I begin with blush or warm beige walls, a battered wood round table, and antique-looking chairs with smooth material. Delicate texture is provided by crystal chandeliers, lace curtains and floral arrangements. I usually add gentle Vintage art and gilt mirrors to the appearance.

This setting is emotionally resonant to me, personally–it is a setting that makes one want to talk and think about things. Veranda magazine says that creating a dining room with vintage theme brings in emotional undertones by overlaying time and memory. This feeling is exactly what I have been going through when designing to clients who are not trendy but rather comfortable.
I could bring in a bit of china ware, candle sticks or even a carpet beneath the table as a way of creating a greater feeling of nostalgia and home-like romance that would characterize this cherished style.
